Will I need to wear a retainer after my braces come off?

In order to help maintain the results achieved by your orthodontic treatment, it is likely that Dr. Mason will prescribe the use of a retainer. He’ll give you specific instructions as to how long you need to wear it, but typically, a patient will need to initially wear it full-time for about 6-12 months. After that, you’ll likely only need to wear it when you go to bed.
